The National Ozone Unit would like to wish Mr. Steve Williams of the Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards all the best in his retirement. Mr. Williams was instrumental in the formulation of the National Standards that have been created to assist and better regulate the air conditioning and refrigeration sector. From all of us...thank you and good luck!

Edufest 2015
In
October as part of the annual recognition of Cancer Awareness Month, the Cancer Society
hosts an educational fair ‘Edufest’
which seeks to promote awareness among the youths of the nation. This encourages the youths to become involved in the campaign, by educating them
about the dangers of the disease as well the preventative methods available through
nutrition and lifestyle. Given the fact that increased UV radiation can lead to increased skin cancer, the National Ozone Unit participated in the Edufest disseminating information on skin protection and skin cancer.
