Tobago National Energy Skills Center (NESC) Hydrocarbon Training

Tobago Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Students of the National Energy Skills Center (NESC) were afforded the opportunity to be trained in hydrocarbon refrigerant and other aspects of good refrigeration practices. The training, which included both theory and a practical session, was held on June 10 2016 at the NESC Goldsborough Facility.

HC 290 Unit distributed for training of technicians

The School of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (SORAC) was presented with a hydrocarbon  (HC)(R290) air conditioning unit by the National Ozone Unit which is to be used at its training facility to ensure that technicians are fully trained in this new and emerging technology. HC 290 Units have previously been distributed to the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry Association (ARIA) for similar training.

Ozone Awareness at World Environment Day 2016 Celebrations

The National Ozone Unit and its stakeholders were pleased to be part of the World Environment Day 2016 celebrations hosted by the Ministry of Planning and Development. The message of ozone layer protection was shared with over 500 persons who visited the exhibition.
















Proposed Professional Certification Scheme for the RAC Industry



The National Training Agency in collaboration with the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Association and the Ministry of Planning and Development has craft a Proposed Professional Certification Scheme for the RAC Industry aimed at providing better structure and accountability for the sector. A Stakeholder Meeting was held on June 3 2016 at the University of Trinidad and Tobago. The information provided is facilitated in this post.
