The National Ozone Unit recently conducted a Hydrocarbon Refrigerant Training session at the University of the West Indies (UWI), targeting technicians and facility maintenance personnel. The training included a valuable hands-on practical component, providing participants with an opportunity to gain practical experience and enhance their knowledge and skills in the safe handling, use, and management of hydrocarbon refrigerants. This initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to build local capacity, promote environmentally friendly refrigeration practices, and strengthen safety standards within the refrigeration and air-conditioning (RAC) sector. Through initiatives like these, we continue to empower technicians with the knowledge and skills needed to support a more sustainable and energy-efficient future.
