Phase out of hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) from Foam Companies still using this chemical

As a component of the national phase out plan for hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs),  foam companies which still use HCFC as a blowing agent in the production of foam  are being provided with funding under the Montreal Protocol to retrofit their operations.  Five companies are benefitting from this process. A Mission was conducted in January 2015 by consultant Mr. Bert Veenendaal and Mr. Anderson Alves of UNDP to monitor progress of this project. In the picture below the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources Ms. Vidiah Ramkhelawan welcomes the visiting team.
