The First Refrigerant Stakeholders Forum hosted by the National Ozone Unit was held on December 5, 2018. This Forum, facilitated by funds received by the country from the Kigali Enabling Activities, was geared towards sharing information on the changes in the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) Sector to
our stakeholders. The topics discussed included the Kigali Amendment to
the Montreal Protocol and its implications for Trinidad and Tobago, the
National Guidelines for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration in Trinidad and
Tobago, the Professional Certification Scheme and current efforts in
refrigerant recycling in Trinidad and Tobago. It is intended that this will conducted throughout 2019 and beyond.
