The workshop provided key sector stakeholders with updates on several technical initiatives currently being advanced under the Montreal Protocol Ozone Programme.
Key areas to be discussed
included:
- Advancements
in Trinidad and Tobago’s national cooling landscape and implementation of
the Kigali Amendment;
- Findings of
the Feasibility Study on Refrigerant-Grade Hydrocarbon Production (virtual presentation);
- Proposed
national collection mechanisms for refrigerant recovery, recycling and
reclamation
- Product
Registry System: proposed system design and progress to date;
- Updates to the RAC Curriculum; and
- Proposed
Transboundary Movement Plan for recovered/unwanted refrigerants.
