Training at the Pesticides and Toxic Chemicals Inspectorate for World Ozone Day 2026

In recognition of World Ozone Day, training was conducted for officers of the Pesticides and Toxic Chemicals Inspectorate to strengthen their capacity as Border Control Agents in the management and control of ozone-depleting substances (ODS) and other regulated chemicals. The training focused on enhancing officers’ knowledge of the identification, handling, importation, documentation, and regulatory requirements associated with controlled substances at points of entry. The initiative supports effective national enforcement and monitoring measures and strengthens collaboration among agencies involved in border control, while contributing to Trinidad and Tobago’s continued implementation of its obligations under the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.
