Ozone awareness at coastal clean up 2022

The National Ozone Unit (NOU) took part in the Earth Day 2022 Coastal Clean up. Members of the NOU not only assisted in keeping the environment clean but also spread awareness on the importance of the ozone layer and what the individuals can do to keep it protected.

Signing Ceremony for Professional Certification and Equipment Handover at MIC-IT

The Administration of the Professional Certification Scheme has been officially handed over to the MIC-IT. A signing ceremony was held between the Ministry of Planning and Development and the MIC-IT on April 22, 2022. The Ministry through the National Ozone Unit also provided assistance to the training workshop of the MIC to ensure that all technicians in refrigeration and air conditioning are well equipped to learn the manipulation of the refrigerant gases and technology on the market.

In person training resumes....Training of TTBS Officers

 The National Ozone Unit has commenced in person training following all COVID protocol . Training during the period April 11 to 13 2022 will update border control officers on monitoring of ozone depleting substances under the Montreal Protocol.

Distribution of Training Material

 The National Ozone Unit is continuing its outreach and assistance to training institutions in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning through the distribution of training material and other resources to help in knowledge transfer and skills development.
