Recovery Units Made Available to Technicians in the AC and Refrigeration Sector

One of the main ways we can all help to protect the Ozone Layer is by ensuring that refrigerant is not vented during the servicing of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. To assist in this, the National Ozone Unit, through funds provided by the Montreal Protocol provided some recovery units to institutions which operate a 'Loan System " for the Units. Technicians or companies can contact these institutions to borrow the units to recover refrigerant gas during their jobs and then return the units to the institution for use by other technicians.  Please contact the institutions for more information on the lending arrangements. Below are some photos of the distribution.

The lending institutions are as follows:

Refrigerant Recovery Recycle Association
678-7789

School of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (SORAC)
657-4567

Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Industry Association (ARIA)
674-3670
