Members of the National Ozone Unit held an exploratory meeting with the team at Green T&T which is an ENGO with a mandate to improve the competitiveness and profitability of the Caribbean’s hospitality and tourism sector, through the implementation of green international standards and certification programmes, education and research.
Participants discussed potential areas of collaboration in engaging the tourism sector in the efforts of improved efficiency in the refrigeration and air conditioning (RAC). Several areas were discussed included collaborating in the dissemination of information and other technical capacity assistance to the sector through funding related to ozone protection.
