Digital Tools in Cooling Project

Trinidad and Tobago through the National Ozone Unit is implementing the Digital Tools in Cooling Project which is funded by the Government of Luxembourg and facilitated by the United Nations Development Programme. The initiative pilots the use of digital and IoT-based technologies to monitor and improve the performance of air-conditioning and refrigeration (RAC) systems.

The project aims to harness digital tools and IoT solutions to enhance climate action in Trinidad and Tobago by improving the energy efficiency of cooling systems and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.  Pilot sites will be engaged to integrate digital monitoring tools, which will serve as a platform to further encourage the use of these technology within the RAC sector.
